Connie Mullen, LM, CPM, ICCE, CCCE, CPCE has been in the childbirth profession for over 22 years. She has attended births both here in Florida and in Jamaica in the home, hospital and birth center setting. She is a Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife, and Certified Childbirth Educator (ICEA, CAPPA & Advanced Birthing Concepts). In addition she holds certificates as a childbirth assistant, breastfeeding specialist and fitness instructor. She is a Regional Coordinator, preceptor and faculty member of the Florida Outreach Childbirth Education Program and also serves as a midwife preceptor for the Miami-Dade Community College Midwifery program and the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery in Gainesville. Linda Wilson is director & women's reproductive health educator of Birthroot, a Wise Woman's Place in Miami, Florida. As a Birthing From Within Mentor she teaches Birthing From Within® & Birthin' Again childbirth preparation classes. She also refers clients to area midwives & birth centers as well as being a referral service for doula care, belly casting, pregnancy photography, breastfeeding support & attachment parenting support. Birthways Family Birth Center specializes in family centered care seeking to assist mothers & their families to safely have the birth they desire. Ann's insurance career spans over 35 years here in Central Florida. She attained the CPCU designation in 1988 and continues her industry education through the Continuiing Professional Development program. The St. Paul Insurance Company provided many years of training and experience which she has now transferred to the agency business.
As co-owner and C.E.O. of Dean Insurance Agency, Inc., founded in 1994, the agency has grown to eleven employees handling clients here in Central Florida and countrywide. The agency specializes in professional liability programs offered on a countrywide basis.
Ann is very active in the community, and has served on non-profit boards and committees, including Anthony House, American Cancer Society and Rotary. She is also a consumer midwifery advocate with memberships including MANA, MAF, NACPM, ACNM, AABC and CFM. Dean Insurance Agency is a corporate sponsor for the annual MANA Convention each year. She also teaches many CEU programs for midwifery schools and hospital family practice residency programs.

Cecilia brings a passion for natural birth, healthy pregnancy and breastfeeding to her work in the greater Jacksonville area. She teaches classes on The Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth and is a DONA-certified birth doula. Labor of Love Birth Center for Tampa opened in the Lutz location five years ago to continue the work begun at our partner Labor of Love locations in Dunedin and Lakeland. The center is now owned & operated by Bea Rowell a Florida Licensed midwife with 8 years experience. Bea is a Registered Midwife who moved here from England, where she completed her midwifery training in both hospital and home settings. Bea is supported at the center by Ricci Bohaboy, a Licensed Midwife and Registered Nurse who has been practicing midwifery in Florida for almost 20 years in birth center, home and hospital settings.
Labor of Love Birth Center offers women a unique birthing experience in a home-like, comfortable environment and has a large Jacuzzi tub for those wishing to enjoy a water birth experience. We give full prenatal care, including an ultrasound if required and offer a range of classes, which include a 5 week labor and delivery series, water birth and breastfeeding classes. Also available are family & friends CPR classes and hypnobirthing classes (at an additional fee). Speakers invited to our classes to give valuable advice and information include Doulas, chiropractors, cord blood banking and cloth diaper distributors.
Home birth is an option for those clients who live within the vicinity. We are also excited to be part of the VBAC study enabling us to offer a VBAC experience to moms who have had previous cesarean sections. Postpartum care is provided with a breastfeeding counselor available on request.
